Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Junior Buyer to join our clients supply chain team in Watertown, CT. In this role, you will support day-to-day procurement operations, manage purchase orders, track supplier deliveries, and maintain accurate ERP data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
salary: $52,000 - $58,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Issue, verify, and track purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, resins, components, indirect supplies, and packaging materials based on MRP/ERP requisitions.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules, expediting or rescheduling orders as required to align with production plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve invoice pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, quality issues, and short shipments.
- Source quotes, analyze cost breakdowns, and negotiate minor terms for standard off-the-shelf and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items.
